Where is Dave?

I guess the logical follow-up question: Where is Dave?...now and does Marc see some sort of future involvement, such as to write that Virus Redux sourcebook hinted at in T4.

It seems unlikely that Dave will have much further involvement with Traveller. But the sourcebook will be happening fairly soon.

MJD, I thought that the sourcebook which you are writing deals with the post-post-TNE world, as defined by GDW.

I was thinking that Dave might write the backstory of the Regency or the confrontation with the Empire of Solee by the Reformation Coalition...or will your sourcebook include all that as well?

While I can't speak for MJD, my understanding is that while he will be focusing on the setting in the year 1248, he is also going to explain (at least at a high level) how we got there.

And, from what he has said before, that will involve some "retelling" of the events in TNE.

While I doubt he will go back this far, I figure anything after the murder of Strephon is pretty much fair game. Especially since GDW themselves changed the death of Strephon significantly at least one time.

The backstory will explain how the setting got from 1200 to 1248. And the Phoenix novels will fill in some of the details.

A Dave sourcebook would not mesh with what we're doing, that's pretty sure.
