The rumor is that Marc W. Miller, when writing Traveller to begin with in the 70s, accidentally put 2 'C's in the shortened word for 'vacuum' instead of it having 2 'U's in the full word. Hence, we have the term vacc suit. And you can usually tell which other games were designed by someone who read or was a fan of Traveller if their game also has that same mistake.
A long while ago, someone came up with a backronym for VACC Suit - Variable Atmosphere Climate Controlled Suit. It's awesome and very useful to the game, but I'm just wondering who came up with it?
