Canonically, the Imperium was founded in year "0" having recently emerged into TL-12 and having developed certain non-standard technologies (i.e. Fusion Plus / Cold Fusion modules) that gave them an edge. The Imperium reached soild TL-13 by about the year 300, and reached TL-14 by about the year 700, and emerged into TL-15 by the end of the Solomani Rim War in the 1000's.
