You know you're going to have a bad day when...

You know you're going to have a bad day when ...

... the order for your commission spells your name wrong again, and you have to decide on whether to endure another 12-month delay while the error is corrected, or simply change your name to something that sounds like a cat's sneeze.

... the SG drops by for the annual Health & Safety inspection, and you have no time to dismantle the still.

... you make your first port-of-call on a "Pleasure Planet", and you discover that everyone - including the local branch of the Imperial bank - refuses to take ship's scrip.

... it slowly dawns on you that it's your picture on that milk carton.

... the coffee tastes like cleaning fluid, and all the decks and fittings smell like cream and sugar.

... you dig around in your pack for your comm unit while you're talking on it.

... the 'comfort' system in your battle dress backs up.

... the CO takes one look at you, turns to the exec, and says, "I see what you mean."

... the CMO informs you that your "shot card" is missing.

You know you're gonna have a bad day in the Empire when...

... the big guy in the black combat armor looks at you and says, "I find your lack of faith ... disturbing."

... one of the droids you bought yesterday runs away into the desert because YOU removed its restraining bolt.

... you discover too late that you were holding your light-saber backwards.

... these ARE the droids they've been looking for!

... someone shows you a video clip that proves you shot first.

... you precipitate from jump, and your pilot says, "That's no moon!"

... the prisoner you just rescued has to rescue you.

You know you're going to have a bad day when ...

You're being fitted for a matrimonial "obedience collar" by Princess Ardala.

You're a crewmember on the Prometheus.

You get stircrazy and decide to take a walk outside...and then belately realise you are on the prison-world Crematoria.

The sweaty hairpiece you have been wearing for several days is actually a tribble.

As punishment for insubordination you are assigned to the garrison on a remote, forested world called Endor.

You know that you are going to have a bad day:

When you draw the short straw and get to sit in the Siege Perilous to report on where all of the others who have sat on it have gone.

... You arrive at Aramis (SM2540) and find out that your luggage gone to Aramis (SM3110).

... You arrive at Heroni (SM2521) and discover that the much-needed part you were sent to pick up is on Heroni (SM3017).

... Your homeworld is Inthe (SM2410) and you are mistaken for a criminal with the same name from Inthe (SM2234).

... You receive draft notices from both Kinorb (SM2202) and Kinorb (SM2512).

... You receive garbled order to proceed immediately to Margesi, but you can't tell if it's Margesi (SM1020) or Margesi (SM3212).

... You receive news that your aunt Miriam from Miriam (SM0333) has passed away and left you her entire estate, but your cousin Mirriam from Miriam (SM1315) is contesting the will.

... Your mind finally snaps when the captain introduces you to the Natoko twins.

You, sir, win the thread. Hilarious!
Traveller failed to institute the all-too necessary One World One Name law. :p

Mr. Dense (Imperial Bureaucrat): "Your homeworld, sir?"
Traveller: "Inthe."
Mr. Dense: "In the what, sir?"
Traveller: "Inthe."
Mr. Dense: "In the WHAT?"
Traveller: "On the planet Inthe."
Mr. Dense: "IN THE WHAT?!?!?!?!"
