I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but it's more of a general question...

I want to order the Mega-Traveller CD-ROM from http://www.farfuture.net/cdrom/

I take it that orders over there are flowing normally ? (I've seen a few "Where is my order" posts lately on this BBS).

You'll be lucky if you ever see your book, ZeroArmour. It's extremely irresponsible to keep the ordering options on this site available when there is clearly no-one at the helm to fulfil those orders.

Far Future is an entirely unconnected website, and orders from there seem to have no problem at all.

I've ordered a couple of items from the site(travellerrpg) weeks ago, any idea when i should receive shipment. In my experience, items shouldnt take this long, especially since they were tagged "In Stock" at time of order. Should i be concerned? I'd like to order more items from your site but am awaiting arrival of said order before ordering again. I'm sure you understand. Please respond.

If they were marked "in-stock" the odds are very good that they still are; however, Hunter has been without a functioning computer for a while (about 30-40 days)...

Typically, 4-6 weeks is normative, but I don't know if Hunter has been able to check for orders to fulfill them.

I'll PM your message to Hunter and Bruce. No promises on a response.
 
I appreciate your response, aramis; but, i will have to admit that i find your answer disconcerting. 30-40 days w/o a computer and no set date in site to take orders? Buy a cheap computer to take those orders... couple of hundred bucks, at the most, will fix this situation. A low-end computer will do it. You're just checking email, after all. Heck, you can do this from a cell phone.

I really want to *financially* support this organization, for i love Traveller. This would include making more, a lot more, orders as well as making *Marquis* donations to said site. If i sound a little pessimistic, then perhaps i am quilty. I have been burned in the past by folks asking me to wait a little longer... and waiting would be fine (if given reasons so as i can maintain confidence... which Hunter has not) except that as soon as i hit the 30 day mark of date of purchase through PAYPAL, i lose any rights to recoup monies.

I have no wish to sound grumpy, but you gotta realize my postion. Again, i'm cool with waiting as long as the seller exercises professionalism and maintains contact, as well as continuing to update buyers of unforeseen situations and eta's, but not having a computer for near 6 weeks with no set date in site to take orders, does not qualify as a legitimate excuse, and neither does, and i mean no offense, someone giving me an expectation date who has nothing to do with filling orders.

Again, I appreciate you forwarding my message, for this is going above and beyond, but this is something you should not have to do. Not to mention, if he doesnt have computer access, then how is forwarding my message via PM going to help my situation. He doesnt have a "functioning" computer! Hopefully Bruce can contact him regarding this.

I'm a cool guy, I will wait it out till the very last day before contaction PAYPAL. If this gets resolved within the 30 day time period, then i will forget the situation and continue to make more orders through your site, make my $25 dollar *Marquis* donation, and write it off as Hunter having a bad month. God knows, I've had them. I do have the capacity for empathy, after all.

Let me send a thank you to both aramis and Bruce for helping me resolve this situation.

By sending it to Bruce, bruce should get it, and Bruce has voice contact with Hunter.

By putting it also in Hunter's PM (which non-mods can't), it's also where, should he log in, Hunter will likely see it. (Threads often get lost in the noise.)

Truth be known, i'm hoping this transaction works out for i have plans to order everything Traveller from your site. Having my last batch stolen, i am frothing at the mouth in anticipation to rebuild my collection.

Ouch is right!

Let's just say that the moving company arrived with less boxes than they started out with. Keep in mind that i had everything wrapped before the pick up. Seems... and they deny this*... that they must of stopped on the way for a closer inspection of said cargo.

So anyway, that's why i really want this transaction to go through w/o any problems, for i wish to eventually(soon) order everything offered on this site so as to re-complete my collection.

*I showed them the discrepancy in the manifest(missing boxes), and they promised a full investigation. I also reported them to the BBB.

Updates? You must admit, this is getting ridiculous. If he cant or doesnt wish to run the store anymore, the professional thing to do would be to either hand off the responsibilities to another (preferred), or close the store down and refund folks their money, right?

I have/had(sniff) complete collections of WFRP (both editions), Star Frontiers, Gamma World (old stuff), and Traveller. Unfortunately, my Star Frontiers and Traveller collections were stolen. I really am hoping... and prefer to purchase/support this site by re-collecting my Traveller stuff from this site's online store. I'd rather do this than troll Ebay.

Btw, and laugh if you want, i wasnt aware of this site(see 2nd link down) till just recently. I guess when you have everything ever printed, some cool links can be overlooked, including www.travellerrpg.com (I'm a new member). Go figure.
