New to traveller

Hello, I just picked up travellere 5th edition and we started a short campaign trying the game out and I must say I love it. The only problem is sometimes I don't quite understand how how some ways it is supposed to be played out. So what I am asking is where can a newbie from pittsburgh go to so I can properly run a game. (Website or even if someone from pittsburgh is willing to lend a hand teaching). I have a feeling I'm going to have to read thbe book 3 or 4 imes because its easier for me to play it and learn rather than from books directly. I'm open to all suggestions and we've played dnd(3.5, 4.0) star wars rpg, mutants and masterminds. Its just I have to refere this realm since I purchased the game. Lol and could use some help running it properly thanks again

Question...

By Traveller fifth edition are you talking about the Traveller5 CD, and if you are you could join us down in the ever so polite and fun T5 Private Forum here on CotI, I am pretty sure you can find answers there (but I am biased, I run a playtest there). To get in, send DonM a message and he will check with Marc, once they have confirmed your purchase, Don should square away your request asap.

If you mean another edition, this is probably the place, there are edition specific subfora devoted to pretty much all editions under the CotI Features tab under the Title banner.

Does that help?

Either way, welcome aboard!

Laterness,
Magnus.

sorry

I just spent some time and discovered i have the mongoose publishing version of traveller. I see where to post information about my questions in the forum. Thank you again. :)

In the Mongoose sub-forum....

Welcome aboard.

And no need to feel sorry. You have done nothing wrong. Heck we all make mistakes once in a while. ;)

Just ask, and I am sure that someone will point the way.
