Pluto "isn't a planet." At least according to the IAU's new, assinine, and passed after the majority of who had opposed the notion had left, definition of planet.

The actual reason was that if it was a planet, then we've a few hundred (thousands?) others out there as well I think. Downgraded to a dwarf planet, but it will always be a planet for me regardless. Too old to unlearn that at this point

13 known dwarf planets meeting the competing definition: orbits the sun, rounded by own gravity would be added to the list had it been adopted/retained.
