Has anyone considered that the byproducts of advanced TL’s can be harmful, and that some systems have that one moon they dump radwaste, toxic chem waste, and the occasional corrupt politician. Que the Space 1999 music.

In the season 2 Joss planned, there was supposed to be a visit to one of the interstellar transports Humanitii used to flee Terra.
Sadly, we have very little of what Joss planned in comments he made.

Actually, in systems with the proper tech, you dump anything into the fusion core and it is flash melted down to its component atoms...
