2320 "Final" Edition

The Kafer aren't exactly defeated. They are currently embroiled in an oddly civil war, one fought only with starships. But as soon as they get that sorted out... The drug bug, with it's injections of Kafer para-adrenal analogue, has been found in the French Arm: "smart" Kafers on demand. Kafer weapons have been found with human-made parts. The Pentapods are restless, with some factions being very hostile towards humanity.
Provolution is stirring its ugly transhumanist head, to the dismay of the Life Foundation and the Transhuman League, in particular, and pretty much everyone else, in general.
You got bio-pirates, dealing in smuggled life-forms, to both jaded collectors and Pentapod agents, privateers in the French Arm, preying on the chaos, a colony in quiet revolt agains the British crown, and lots of other plots.
First thing, once I can make time, is an adventure. Then I'm starting the ships books, and will start on the sourcebook/adventure series that I want to do. And a tech book, or rather a series of them.

Editing error in the pdf/planet question

Found an error (you may already have seen it of course). The Table at the top of page 227 is missing the Wakizashi and in it's place appear to have the sword from T20. The price is in credits. On the same table, the Ceramic Knife's cost is also in credits.

As for planets, obviously it would be a mistake to redesign the systems already detailed, but for other systems, have you guys looked at all at the recent ability to detect planets? Any thought of seeing what real planets are known of in those systems? In addition, we now know that gas giants close to stars are quite common. Most of the planets found so far are gas giants, and many of those are closer to their star than Earth, some closer than Mercury.

I think that most of the discovered planets are more than 50ly out, but I'm not sure.

Ammo Cost AS-99

Same page, the price for a magazine is 2Lv, this is about 10% of other equivalent weapons. Should this be 20Lv?

p235, the Quinn M-22, the price of the weapon is in the Type: text rather than below in price which only has the price of the ammo.

Reading Colin's post above got me thinking about storyline. (Sorry if this isn't the right place.)

What if Provolution broadened its interest beyond human life to the aliens? This could be particularly appealing to the Sung, some of whom might see it as a fulfilment of the perceived human obligation to share their knowledge under Sos-Soon-Atkacharr. A Sung-dissident/Provolution hook-up could get up to all sorts of nastiness.

There could even be scope for Provolution to use one species' genetic material to "enhance" another... although this would depend on compatible biochemistry - I'm not even sure it's ever been established if the alien biospheres in 2300 use DNA for a building-block in the same way as Terran life.

If done well, it might not even seem too much like a B-movie.

Given that Sung medical technology is more advanced than Humans, ProVolution would likely be VERY interested in them.

Yes, all life so far discovered uses some sort of variation on DNA. (I think. I would need to check my notes to be sure). Even the compatible biochemistries would see more variation between their DNA structure and humanity's than between human DNA and terrestrial anaerobic bacteria, though.
