Droool....

Hey folks.
I've got a friend that has gotten the playtest pdf for 2320, and as soon as it hits the street, you've sold one.

But this art is an absolutely wonderful icing on a really impressive cake.

Great work all!

(and yes, it's supposed to look like that)

It's just become my new desktop background

Does Laurent post on these forums? If so I'd like to publically thank him for some excellent work.

If he doesn't, Colin, can you pass on my thanks.

The stutterwarp effect looks neat! But I selected the shot of the AB 400 to use for my desktop.

Laurent Esmiol has certainly made his mark - here and on the Etranger site - for his look for 2300 and 2320. Kudos!

Hope this is the artwork that is going to be commissioned as I have nothing but the greatest level of respect for the Estranger site. Are you hoping for colour plates, as kafka wipes the drool that is now accumulated in anticipation.

Hope? Sure. Expect? No.
Initial run is going to be PDF, most likely, probably with a limited POD serrvice as well. Maybe we could do both a colour and a B&W PDF. Later print editions are possible as QLI gets up to full speed, I should think.

Yeah, the AB 400 is currently my desktop, too. It gets "oohs" from my co-workers every time they see it.

Laurent does visit these forums on occasion, but I will be sure to pass on your thanks, as well as my own.

Can you post the link to it again please?

Is there an "in space" view of it?

AB 400 is the spaceplane at the top of this thread. We don't have an in-space view yet. Maybe Laurent can gun one up when he's finished his latest round of stuff.

Yeah, a little. It's basically a rounded BH-21 with 1 fixed weapon and 2 hardpoints. It's rather too late to do anything about it, though, and I still like it.

Nice image! Kudo's to Mr. Lindsey.

Yes, it does look kinda BT Clanner Elemental, but that armor was fairly well thought out. After all, there is good reason for a more rounded power armor. Glancing shots that might actually stick on the boxy BH-21.

Also, its nice to see secondary armament on Combat Power Armor for 2300. It always seemed to me that there would be targets that didn't really rate a plasma shot. Enemy infantry in the open and soft-skin vehicles, for example, would be good candidates for a heavy laser shot. And no ammo feed problems that ballistic weapons would entail (something that the BT guys never seem to understand). Battledress in MT has included a forearm mounted laser rifle, so it would go to figure...

</font>[/QUOTE]So do I.
Actually I think my opinion was caused by the hand configuration even though your model is reversed the elemental configuration.

Just a suggestion but maybe consider a small weapon on the right forearm.. flamer, smg, or lasrifle would be nice.

Skip the belt-fed auto gun, Jame. I mean, why equip a power armored unit with something that a) will continuously get caught up in crap as you manuver about and b) the operatior can't clear if it jams? I mean a Fucille Rivera-equivilent built into one of the forearms would work just *dandy*...

OVL-22 Utility Roton: The roton is one of the more flexible interface vehicles available, and inexpensive to produce, owing to the “conventional” rocket it uses. The design of the roton allows it to take-off and land vertically on its four great rotors, and it will not cause a conflagration upon landing, unlike more conventional designs. It carries a substantial amount of cargo, but lacks the atmospheric loiter time of a lander with air-breathing thrusters.
