About seven stars, it looks like. But then, we're still getting a handle on what's actually right here near us. Still nothing within J-1, at this point.
Still really cool, having a 3D representation. I've seen it done with LEDs in a dark display at a museum, which was nice, too. But hard to hold on your hand.

Actually, there are a lot of places offering custom services and various sizes and shapes (though haven't found a sphere) - just google '3d laser engraving'.
I looked into this for miniatures - they would pack nicely, sit and move really well, plus look really cool with deckplans or star maps on a light table. But I didn't care for the prices. Even considered a DIY job (heck, scratch built a tube laser as a teen) - but never sourced the crystals cheap enough...

Though I'd settle for a 20cm crystal representation of 10pc.
