Wounds oppose to hit points

Well, using the RAW is written it'd be a 'zero penetration' result, and the text only lists damage for three steps (i.e. 4 points), and 4 points of structure damage won't stop a Trepida. The errata won't change that (assuming I've got the right errata), as a gauss rifle's penetration is better than 10% of the Trepida's worst armour. So if you shoot the tank long enough, you can drop it.
No, but it means the +4 over won't take out the power nor maneuver, as they tack a 0 on to how many hits those locations have.
See, the Locomotion is 1/2 in the book; the errata brings that up to 10/20, so a single lucky shot will NOT drop them.

It's also worth noting that the Trepida is NOT a solid tank. Only 40 G, of a 70 G max allowed by TL. 12/29 hull.
Even one point through to the plates is, without the errata, ista-drop, taking it to INOP. Since you only need one, you only need to hit by 2.

See, the pinpoint fire, aimed scoped is Diff out to long (11+), and many groups will have a gunbunny with a 4 in Combat Rifleman. Pinpoint and aimed cancel each other's difficulty shifts, but allow the Pen < AV to hurt the vehicle, and worse, do so in either PP (takes 2/4) or Locomotion (1/2)... the extra HP prevent one-shotting a trepida, even tho all it changes is the HP...

Missed one, AHL has Stunned in Melee combat resolution. I have penciled it in as a play-test idea, but haven't really tried it out.
Technically (and by AHL's definition) not a wound.
But it does bring up one thing I did miss, namely another area in which AHL is not fully compatible with CT: It does not have any provision for melee weapons. In general, AHL's melee system is a bit lacking IMHO.
