Wanting to learn more about 760 Patrons, I peeked in on the Mongoose Traveller boards to see what reaction the Mongoose faithful had to the book. The posts seemed to mirror this site pretty well: 760 casual encounters, not 760 patrons, but still a useful book.
I learned that the .pdf is out, so I checked out the preview. While I'm still very disappointed that Mongoose ignored its own definition of a Traveller patron encounter and published the book under a misleading title, the encounters I saw in the preview were okay.
It's not worth it to me at the current price-point by any means, but if it's ever available for about ten bucks or so, I'll pick it up.
