80Dton Module Hauler

Truckers in space....for those busy systems like Glisten. I imagine there would be thousands of these type of vessels coming and going. Larger plans over at the Woolshed Shipyards.

glisten would have literally millions of airlocks, and surely they would have to be standardized. how do you envision this ship being docked?

Extendable docking arm like an air-bridge to a plane at the airport. I hadn't completely thought that through obviously - a redesign may be in the works - thanks for pointing that out.

Surely the front end fits into the standard docking collar for a cutter.

The modules would then be loaded through a standard cutter sized door using a robotic arm, gravitics or a small space tug (we had a picture of such a thing a while back).

Brian, have you considered a version which carries even more modules?

A thin central spine joining front to back , and then docking clamps for up to six modules arranged like a revolver cylinder.
