I'm making a tasks cheat sheet for myself (trying to hit the two page MT type spread) and I just noticed something.
In 5.09, page 115, it discusses skill checks, suggesting that sometimes, a skill should be doubled in 'many situations'
The only time we see one of these situations is with immediate action for first aid (or repair), such as page 109.
If I go back to the 5.0 document, it doesn't mention this at all. Immediate action just says a skill check.
I can't find any discussion on this change in the forums, but I'm curious if anyone knows where this is coming from - One would think that these would be examples of Tasks With Skill Only (5.09,103), which would be 7+skill level.
That'd always be higher than double skill level, and there might be good reasons to have it lower, but it seems strange that it's a one-off ruling.
Is it possible that the phantom attribute rule got missed when interpreting the original Immediate Action rule (5.0,139)?
