A short list of future QLI products....

Damn straight! With the high value that goes into T20 products, I would even be happy to buy smaller works. But, I am looking forward to seeing the adventures put together in a single adventure.

Would your new ships book possibly include the Ships of the Black War or other supporting themes that would be a nice lead into 1248...

Thanks!

The EPIC Adventures book won't really be distilled down to a single adventure, but basically reprinted from the PDFs. They are of course linked.

The first ship book will cover ships from the Gateway era. The TNE ships will have their own book most likely. Right now we have Fighting Ships of the Imperium and Fighting Ships of the Solomani Rim for the first ship book compilation. There will likely be a third ship book added to that one, but at the moment and not sure which one.

Any chance of a TA on computers introducing an optional line of realisticaly sized computers and/or linking the design processes together?

The whole virus line of history cried out to me for an evolution into nanite level AI's etc.

Or maybe I am just too hung up on computers

Of course I could always get motivated and try to put all my thoughts down into something usful

Hunter,

How about including uniforms of the when you do the navies of the Ships of the Third Imperium and Solomani Rim? As you know this has been a hot topic and looking over the all the old artwork that Marc has brought to the marketplace perhaps it is time to give the Imperial and Solomani forces their distinctive look, thanks to T20. I rather favor the Neru look in CT but T20 might want to add browncoats as well as jackboots to the Solomani cause...

Just as long as you don't dress them in those sharp, snappy black uni's with the white piping that the Darrians get in AM8. I want the Darrians to keep those. (I am assuming they are black. Granted that they are b/w drawings, but with no attempt at any shading on them, I assume they are intended to be black.)

I like it because it gives the Darrians a bit of a "sinister" look.

Daryen,

I am sure that is for Hunter (if he endorses this idea) and the final design crew will have to decide. Look how much the uniform of the Marines has changed since the original Traveller Book.

However, it would be nice to get the best of the old look (in the words of some the constipated Keith pencil drawings--but happens to be my favorite) and the best of the new out there in world of RPG artists.

**btw, Hunter have you established contact with Liz Danforth for 1248 and other projects?

Remember, guys, that the anthologies are based on TAs that are submitted for publication to QLI. If you want something specific, the best way to get it is to submit a TA to MJD. Otherwise, you have to depend on the mercy of some stranger to decide to like your idea enough to write it up and submit it on his own.

Best of luck,
Flynn

Note, according to Michael, there's a Scout Cruiser which "describes the entire ZAGRATHIAN/Ley Subsector". So it would appear not to be set in Glimmerdrift.

Either that, or he's a mite eccentric...

That's right, there were at least two other TAs being worked on over this last year or more, one for Scout Ships and one for Small Trading Ships. I haven't heard much on those, so I'm assuming that the authors are in Real Life(tm) time constraints, and can't finish the work at this time. Best of luck to them, though.

More later,

TAx Small Scouts has been waiting for me to finish 2320AD. That's done, so now its up on the block.

Will there be deckplans?

[Small ships => PC Scale => of interest to people who play the game rather than read about it => needs deckplans so we can repel boarders or tell whether the Ursa's snoring is audible from the galley.]

Nothing bigger than 1000 tons (tender) and most under 600 tons. It's been so long since I looked at the file I'm not sure what we've got.

Starfall Cluster Campaign Sourcebook
Stoner Campaign Sourcebook
Is there any sort of vague ETA on these (e.g. months or years)?

And, um, I don't suppose there's any chance of a PDF release for them?

I'm 35,000 words into Stoner sourcebook (50-60,000 to go). I'm wanting to finish the words by November - It is a massive task to write something of this length part-time. I imagine MJD/Hunter will want to publish ASAP after that.

It's been about four months since I first put up this list, and about half of the available PDFs have been published, and the TA Compilation on Vehicles is almost out in print, with Starfall to follow.

Several of the products listed have been in playtest mode for a bit, gathering input in preparation for print/publication.

It definitely looks like 2005 could be a good year for QLI, assuming that the investments in printing pay off with each run.

Best of luck, guys,
Flynn

After having gotten a private message on the nature of the above post, perhaps I should clarify.

Of the PDFs on the future products list, these have seen print:

EAx: Mercenary Cruiser
EAx: Scout Cruiser
EAx: Merchant Cruiser
EAx: The Forgotten War (Adventure I of a trilogy)
TAx: Into The Clouds

And these manuscripts have been submitted, but are on the backburner, still waiting for publication:

EAx: Robot Encounters
TAx: Robots of Charted Space
TAx: Ships of the Solomani War

And these are still waiting on the authors to actually submit them (which is why they are still future products instead of current products):

EAx: Diplomatic Relations
EAx: Free Trader
TAx: Travellers & Citizens
TAx: Specialized Ships of the Imperial Navy
TAx: Small Trading Ships

Of those PDF products listed in the first post of this thread where QLI actually has the manuscripts, five out of eight are published.

Checking the news archive, the TA compilation was announced as being at the printers on Oct 5th, and should be available in November. We're just over halfway through November, so we've got plenty of time.

Of the rest of the PM, I will not comment here. If you have any personal comments you'd like to send to QLI in regards to their publication strategy and schedule, please direct them to Hunter, if you don't mind. All I do is write because I enjoy it, and edit things when they have need, because I respect the work QLI does and I love Traveller.

With Regards,
Flynn
