• Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
  • We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.

A week of high activity.

I'm sort of depressed at this time because I can't post in gallery. I've got a project I was working on and can't show it off because of a problem with the site :(. So I'm stuck for the moment...

I'm going to wait to see if Aramis can fix the problem. It will allow me time to refine the drawing. On top of at, there are others who deserve to have their artwork showcased while the problem is being looked into.

No. It's not a problem with the site. You ran over your allowed number of image uploads.

Aramis: I call it a problem because I create it for you. I don't think any of us were aware that there had been a limit set on the number of posting one could make to the art gallery.

Spacebadger: Do you really want me to delete some of my images?

No No No! I was just asking Aramis if there was some solution that would allow you to post more. He said you were over your limit, but did not mention if that is forever or if there is some way around it. That's all I wanted to know.

I have thought of deleting some of the drawing and reposting them to the file library. The fear I have is I'll run into the same problem over doing it with attachments. That is one reason why I'm waiting for Aramis to look into the matter. I hope all it is, is for him to go in and change the number allowed.

The real problem is how many drawing can I make in the next 10 to 20 year? I'm only 50 and have quite an imagination. I have been designing several ships at present and knowing my fertile mine, I could product well over a hundred in the coming years. I've only been active on this site for two years (Posting threads and drawing, I lost my password and forgot I was a member for six years). 66 drawings, that 33 a year. So 10 years from now that will be 330 at my rate of production.

So it is a big problem for Aramis because I don't want to have the COTI to spend money to expand my capabilities to post my artwork...

aramis, could an exception be made/granted/allowed? I personally like Rigel Stardin's works and think they are a worthy asset for all. Some posters may be prolific but well worth it. Thank God some DON'T BOTHER to post artwork!

Look, I don't want to get Aramis upset with me or anyone else about this problem I created. The support is nice but I don't want him feeling that I'm trying to force him into looking into the matter any earlier than he has already stated. These post are really only intended to inform those who like my work that I am unable to post at this time.

It literally requires setting up a new user type and adding him to it. I may have such a group set up already (I forget) but I've not slept in 35 hours, and didn't sleep well in the last 120 hours; I'm intoxicated from exhaustion, and smart enough not to do anything involving people's accounts, access, or posting privileges when this overtired. Plus, my shoulder hurts, and I'm on 3 months of bad vertigo. I didn't even run my sunday game today - well, we did a few bits of bookkeeping (I'm running Pendragon, and it has more bookkeeping than a merchant campaign of traveller), and some heraldry, but then played boardgames. (I lost at Carcassone: the City, but really whupped 'em (135:75:60) at Ticket to Ride Europe...)

I play TTRE almost reflexively.... Jim's annoyed with me because he hasn't beaten me yet at TTR. He's seen his SO and my SO beat me...

Goodness... I'm rambling.

This is why I'm not looking into anything til I've had at least a solid 6 hours of sleep.
