A2Lm "stretched" Far Trader (Multi) - 300dT

I would suspect that this is precisely what a Far trader owner/captain would do.

I tried to keep that in mind whilst designing the deck plans, as changing the specs was far simpler if the deck plans reflected both options seamlessly.

Cheers for the calculations. BTW

Actually, I would double up a gunner/ steward for an occasional high passenger pick-up, the cabin taken by the steward is a huge losses of revenues, far outweighing the salary cost and the cause of the terrible economic of high passage.

Re do the math replacing the salary saved 3,000cr by 500cr (half a gunner salary as the steward double-up), add 1000 cr per high passage (2,000cr increase from passenger's ticket - 1,000cr lost revenues from freight as 1 ton is re-assigned to luggage= 1,000 cr marginal revenues improvement), and 3 high passage per month are enough to cash more than in a straight middle passage configuration.

By book 2, the passengers pick-up table will not always give you enough middle psg to fill and you may be forced to take high, henceforth that need for a steward. In fact, I expected that the original spirit was that you cannot always have the best paying high psg and middle were "fill-up" material. A more careful economic analysis is more nuanced.
