Haha, I don't know how I did miss it.
I will have a good look at that link now, cheers.
Fond memories of Elite on my Acorn Electron many years ago.

With me inspiring you to purchase the Traveller mug, you have (re)inspired me to order a matching Traveller Referee T-Shirt to go with my mug.

Go Traveller fanboys!!!

Yeah I have a cool 'referee's' Traveller T-Shirt. So amazing! I wore it while reffing my sons ' games of Traveller!

Hi Mithras, I can't wait to get mine in the post. (Hopefully Monday).

My son and I were looking through the Starter Traveller box last night.

My son, who is 12 loves all things Traveller.

I bought the Starter box last year on eBay and it was still in shrink wrap so even though it was from '83 it is still new. It's a strange feeling looking through something that hadn't seen daylight since it was manufactured, almost as if time stood still all those years.

Just looking through it brings back so many memories and reminds me that even though the industry has changed and new and fancier products have come and gone, this game will never be equalled (in my eyes anyway).

After completing the LBB collection, my Traveller addiction continues with me hunting down some of the Journals. My wife is gonna kill me

That's lovely! I must take the shrink wrap off my Invasion: Earth (Solomani Rim War) board game one of these decades...

Yes there are a couple of fantastic pristine Traveller books on UK Ebay at the moment - Animal Encounters and 1001 Characters. They look brand new! I am tempted to bid for them just to have a new Classic Traveller book again after all this time. Although I know I don't really want them as I am into MgT now and still have lots of those to get yet. But I seem to be unable to resist buying CT books! It must be the nostalgia factor - very powerful it is.

I bought a load of CT books a while back and never used them so I sold them all again until I was just left with adventures I am likely to play with MgT, and my core rules books and black box set - which I will never part with. But I just love that Animal Encounters book, and the Traders and Gunboats book as well - the best Traveller books ever for me and I dont even know why I like the AE book!

I know why I like the T&G book - because of the Scout ship I used in my first ever game and I love the look of the other ships - never been bettered - and the way the book is designed with its lovely key with the interesting people on it. Just love that book.

But I must resist...I will not start buying CT books again!

nats: I know what you mean about Traders & Gunboats. Great book which I love just for those little deck plans.
Talking of stuff on eBay, I notice at the moment on the Uk & Ireland site that Azhanti High Lightning is up for auction (unpunched and looks in great nick). The buy it now price is quite high. About the same price I paid for the sealed Starter Traveller.
I don't think I would ever play that game but for the sake of completeness to my collection I would have done the crazy thing and bought it just for Supp 5.
As pure luck would have it I tracked down an EX condition copy of supp 5 so I have the full collection of LBBs now.
I told my wife I would stop the collection once the LLBs were on my shelf, but returning to my addiction to CT stuff I have started ordering some of the JTAS issues.
At present I have issues 12 and 17 because of the special supplements. I need to find issue 21 for the special supplement and then over time I will try and collect as many as possible.
Does anyone know if issue 1 ever comes up for sale or auction at any time?
I know the FFE reissues is always an option, and much cheaper, but I would love to complete the original collection eventually.
By the way, my lovely referee t-shirt arrived the other day from quantum enterprises. What great quality products they produce!!

Do it!! You know you want to. ;)

BTW Baltech Budapest, are you, like, actually here? I've got the big floppy books of CT and I've an itch to use the damn things. My current group's campaign is wrapping up and I've an idea to maybe open the player roster and run Traveller...

(I'm in Gödöllő, for the record).

I'm living in Ireland, but if you intend to start a PBeM game then sure. Time is a precious commodity (with work and kids, and such) but I would certainly try to find the time to join in.
