ANNIC NOVA- HIGH GUARD stats

I'm looking for ANNIC NOVA's HG stats. Does anyone recall which book they appeared in as I recall seeing it show up some time after DoubleAdv-1 was published.

I cannot honestly recall ever seeing HG stats for Annic Nova, and as the ship breaks later canon in many ways, I'm not sure you could stat it up for HG without some serious rules bending.

I checked, and the Annic Nova article in JTAS #1 has only the Book-2 description. Fighting Ships or Traders & Gunboats would be the other obvious places to look but it's not there either. I can't think of anywhere else it may have shown up. Why do you want to port it to Book-5? Without a maneuver drive you surely wouldn't want to use it in starship combat, would you?

I seem to remember seeing them as well. I have been digging through my old stuff and can't find them at all. I hadn't thought of Different Worlds or Space Gamer I will dig through the issues of those I have later today.

Nope I don't want to take it into combat. Players on the other hand......

I have to admit it's my favorite design in TRAV with KINUNIR #2.


My memory is I saw it published. In an unexpected place too. I've been through all GDW CT books (on disc) no sign of it. Interesting that others too seem to recall it popped up somewhere.

I finally found the Traveller special issues of Space Gamer (I am not as organized as I should be), I went through the Space Gamers, Different Worlds, and Adventure Gaming Issues I have and didn't find the stats.

space gamer?--ditto, nahdah
journal?--nope

any others?
what about FASA? they did alot, didn't they also have a magazine?

BITS published a Periodicals Bibliography a few years ago, which basically lists every magazine article related to Traveller.

The only mention of Annic Nova in there is the original JTAS article, and a brief note that it later appeared in DA1.

FASA had 2 traveller magazines High Passage and Far Traveller. I didn't find the stats in those either.

well, looks to me like someone needs to sitdown with the adventure and high guard in hand and just write the darn thing up and post it....

any takers? I'm sure there would be no end of those willing to critique the effort...for proper balance and playability of course
