Another Traveller Mini-Movie

I think the segment updates are good idea. It allows people to catch oversights, such as the flash of white on the cutter/ horizon interface. Maybe I liked to be teased several times before the full gratification.
Keep up the good work!

I don't mind updates... its just a link right?

I have to admit to having the world's dimmest screen here at work. On max brightness, I can usually not see a lot in dark images, hence me missing the second broadsword. I look forward to seeing it on my laptop which actually lets me brighten things up to a viewable level!

Andrew. I'm really enjoying the development of this one and I'm also loathe to criticise because I know you're doing this as a hobby and for your own (and our) enjoyment.

I do have a couple of points about the latest rendition though.
Firstly the textures on the SDB are quite cartoony. You can get away with it on the Broadswords because it's very dark and you don't get close to them, but you really get a good look at them on the SDB and it jars.

My biggest suggestion (and it is a suggestion, not a crit) is the camera and ship angles and movement are very linear and by-the-numbers as is the action.
Try some POV angles and swoops. Try having the ships come at each other from different angles rather than directly head on.

Oh and I really don't think the Motorhead works, but I know others do

"I'm also loathe to criticise"

Criticise away.

"Firstly the textures on the SDB are quite cartoony."

It's a fair cop. They only exist to get blown up, and I didn't think they'd be on-screen so much, so I thought I'd get away with cutting corners.

"My biggest suggestion (and it is a suggestion, not a crit) is the camera and ship angles and movement are very linear and by-the-numbers as is the action."

I know. I'll see what I can do.

"Try having the ships come at each other from different angles rather than directly head on."

Well, the 'swords are heading towards the planet and the SDBs away from it. It may be dull, but it's accurate!

"Oh and I really don't think the Motorhead works, but I know others do"

I wanted something loud, since it's all combat (unless I go all ironic and use something like All You Need Is Love). I did consider Song 2 and Magic Carpet Ride, but Ace Of Spades gave me a nice logo too.

I'm going to run out of superlatives if I comment on each update - so I'll just repeat myself later ;)

Brilliant work Andrew.

I'm one of those who thinks the soundtrack works, by the way

It's pictures all the way until the end.
I'm guessing you are meaning your reply to be humorous. Additionally, your reply is technically correct. On the other hand, I hope my meaning came through that I would rather see all the words at the beginning or end. This is your video though, so you are welcome to do it however you like. :D I will enjoy watching it wherever the words come in the video!

Apart from the the three at the front, all the credits etc will be at the end (rather than spread throughout the film, as in the first one).

The current one. Once I've finished blowing up spaceships (oops, there go another two...) I'm going to blow up a few things on the ground. I'll try to have a few people running around.
