Some of my players are new to Sci-Fi gaming. I printed out a nice picture I found that showed relative size of the planets in the Sol system vs each other and the sun.
Players always dig visual aids like this. It's one thing to tell them how small the earth is when compared to the sun (or even Jupiter or Saturn), and it's a whole other tamale to actually show them.
I find the visual aid makes the idea "stick" better: "This is earth, and Aramis is about the size of earth....and this...this is Jupiter....this is what you're diving into when you skim fuel."
Makes for a good game.
Now, I'm looking for a map of the solar system that will show relative distances between worlds. I want to show my players just how far an AU is, graphically.
"...And THIS is how far you will have to travel if you want to spend a week traveling out to the local GG to skim fuel..."
Anybody know of a good map on the net I can use?
