Anyone play FTL (computer game)?

I have been playing FTL the last couple days and seems like it sets out a really fun alternate paradigm for Traveller game play. It’s really Traveller like.

It's a great game. Hard, but great. I've managed once to make it to the second to last column, then got killed.

Love that game. I've beat it every which way and it's still fun, which is the sign of a good game. The two most important rules:

1. Always buy the weapon pre-igniter.

2. If you don't have the weapon pre-igniter, always have at least 120 scrap in the bank so you can buy the weapon pre-igniter.

And then you win.

Also, it's really fun to use one of the ships with a 4-man transporter (like the crystal ship or the mantis ship) and do a boarding action playthrough.

I've played a little on my son's Steam account; I don't think I've cleared 2 sectors yet.

I'll be looking for the pre-igniter next time!

I've managed to complete it a few times, I need to revisit it now that you bring it up. Very fun game.
