Armor rules?

mshensley--

Judging by what I read on the d20 & Hit Points topic, it appears as though armour does not reduce stamina damage but does reduce lethal (or "lifeblood") damage.

In other words, a weapon does its full damage as stun/stamina--regardless of armour protection.

I hope I'm missing something here...

I'd hate to see my battle dress armoured Imperial Marines beaten senseless by some TL0 indigs!

Armor works just like is does in d20 when it comes to Stamina. You roll to hit vs the AC of the target. If you hit you do full stamina damage.

But...Battledress is not armor it is a vehicle...

Ach!

A moment's reflection should have told me that

I was thinking either armour to hit modifiers ala CT, or actual damage protection as in later variants--I'm just not used to thinking in terms of AC when it comes to Traveller.

This is sort of the best of both worlds--the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Thanks for the quick response
