Aslan starships

Vanyon

SOC-8
Since I have lost my CT Alien module for the Aslan I have no way to see if these have stats and write ups in there. Does anyone have Deckplans or statistics for these?

Or maybe could I get pointed some place to see this info?
They're from GT:Alien Races 2. The Aslan Clan Transport has the unfortunate flaw of being a 240T hull with six hardpoints and carrying six 60T pods. But it sure is pretty.

Never saw the details, can you explain "flaw" a little Hans?

As for the ships, is the other one a launch? It looks a bit like an old CT Aslan launch (or was it MT? or one of my own? ...looks familiar anyway :) )

First a correction: It's GT:Alien Races 2, not 1. Mea culpa.

The flaw (There's no need to put it in quotation marks, Dan ;)): The ship is a 600T design with a central stem (containing all the drives) and six detachable 60T pods[*]. It has six hardpoints, all located on the stem. So what happens if you detach the six pods? You get a 240T ship with six hardpoints. Granted, it's not going to jump anywhere, because the fuel is in two of the pods, so technically it's a 240T boat[**], but I bet lots of system navies would love to have 240T boats with six hardpoints each.

[*] The text doesn't say the six pods are detachable, but there's no reason why a judicious use of welding torches shouldn't be able to detatch them. Or just not putting them in the design in the first place. The stem would be the same either way -- including its six hardpoints.

[**] Unless you fit it with drop tanks.
Also, fixing the design is not easy. If you fix it by putting the hardpoints on the pods, you have to wonder why you can't fit two more hardpoints on the stem. And if you only put hardpoints on four of the pods (plus two on the stem) you have to wonder why you can't put hardpoints on the two remaining (functionally identical) pods.

EDIT: I just realized how to fix the design. Simply say that there are only two turrets on the main body (and no turrets on any of the pods). That gives you a 600T design with two hardpoints, perfectly legal if a bit inefficient. But since this is a transport and not a fighting ship, why not?

Thanks for the location. I take it there were no stats written up for them?

Would the ACT with the pods like that count as a dispersed structure then for hull type?
