Best Traveller Fanzine(s)

In your collective opinion, which one or more Traveller fanzines were the best, not only in terms of rules-crunch, suggestions, setting material, and so on, but also in presentation (="gloss", "fluff", "chrome")? Of the ones I've thus far seen, the one that stands out over some others is High Passage. (And by fanzine, I mean 'magazine' in general. I'm not currently counting online, digital offerings, but stuff published in HC and disseminated in the 70s or 80s.)

As far as fanzines, Hmm... Far Stars...

As far as magazines, Traveller's Digest. But it morphed from fanzine to voice of the authorship with the move to MT.

Had things worked out differently, SITREP was destined for greatness. And I should know...

Its replacement, Starfarer's Gazette, will be appearing from Terra/Sol pretty soon. It's the same sort of thing - basically a Top Gear style look at the universe and the people, places and things found in it.

Not a fanzine though; Starfarer's Gazette is a commercial product, so it may not count. But I like it. But then I would, I wrote it.

In the past, Signal GK had the right amount of girt and chrome - plus an interesting commentary on the Rebellion - my favorite era.

In the present, Freelance Traveller carries the torch high. I would like to see more Fanzines but I think the prohibition on not covering the OTU slows this down. For even if they would feature ATU they might want to refer back to something in the OTU as a baseline.

It's only a prohibition on the OTU using MgT rules is it not?

Best regards,

Ewan

In reference to my above post, Starfarer's Gazette number 1 is out this month from Terra/Sol Games.
