Box set question

I dont recall getting any dice in the box with Traveller, but my Striker box came with two yellow with black spots 12mm D6

Small white dice with black pips in both my Basic LBB 3-book sets, my friend's deluxe set had them too as did our copies of Striker. I got another Striker later on which I think had the same dice. Mostly UK editions though some were US bought later on Ebay.

The Basic TRaveller LBB boxes just had the three books otherwise, no maps; the Deluxe obviously had Book 0 and a Spinward Marches map.

The only exception was Starter Traveller which had large blue dice with numerals instead of pips, not very good quality plastic as the edges "crumbled" after a few uses. The numerals were uninked so you had to use a crayon to colour them.

I had the deluxe boxed set, which came with black dice with red pips. Or so I recall. I even ordered the set directly from GDW. As I have 4 of those dice, now I wonder if I just bought them because they looked Traveller-ish.

I purchased Starter Traveller several months ago. It was still sealed in it's shrink wrap. Obviously I opened it and the original dice were inside. They are 12 mm white dice with black pips.

I purchased this from the States so maybe there were slightly different versions manufactured?

I expect so. I only had the UK version, made under licence by Games Workshop (not GDW; the UK company based out of Hammersmith, London).

They also did Basic and Deluxe, but those were pretty much identical to the US originals (which I imported more recently) bar an extra publisher's address inside the LBB 0-3.
