Long answer short, even in TNE most ships held to the 1 hardpoint per 100dtons.....
I tend to follow that general guideline IMTU but on occasion do 'bend' said rules to allow for separate CIWS-defensive ordnance systems aside from a dedicated hardpoint-turret arrangement.
Not to hijack the thread but I have always thought there were other weapons options beyond turrets, spinal mounts and bays, more so regarding defensive measures than such used for direct engagements.
Scaled down VLS missiles can delivery an assortment of jammers, 'chaff' equivalent or other ECM devices. Pop up mini-turrets housing limited range beam-particle projectors for blinding-destroying inbound threats are also a consideration.
Then there is my inhouse favorite of torpedo 'tubes' capable of either offensive or defensive roles depending on the payload of the launched object.
