General Can a Robot be hired as a crewmember?

Three legs or wheels for stability.
You should see some videos on 3 Wheeled ATVs and how disastrous they are. Watch some more on the "interesting" handling characteristics of sidecar rigs. I'm honestly not sure if reverse trikes fix most of the problems or not. They might, they're certainly more prevalent today. But they're also quite big with rather low centers of gravity, so, not sure how well they scale up.

Reverse trikes are far more stable, assuming front steering and a reasonable center of mass. The rider-astride ones don't generally have a reasonable center of mass, and therefore generally have active stability control (or they tilt the front suspension to facilitate leaning into turns).
