Canon for the Vanguard Reaches and The Beyond

I don't recall seeing any new Canon material for the Beyond or Vanguard Reaches. IMTU, I still use the Paranoia Press Material in modified form
Digest Games had their Grand Survey. GL finding a copy that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Also there seems to be some issues with the DG data within the book. Try http://www.travellermap.com/
When the website for Paranoia Press was up, there were some Rebellion and TNE updates to those sectors. I will have to go dig that stuff up.

My bad, instead of Vanguard Reaches, I meant Trojan Reaches
Also, GDW covered the Trojan Reaches is the TNE supplement "Regency Sourcebook" pages 66-68 Subsectors C,D,G,&H. Plus the Third Imperium fanzine covered some of Trojan Reach, much of this material was canonized in later DGP and GDW products.

Digest Group covered Trojan Reach in TD20, pg29-31, And MTJ3 Pg54-56. At least for upp data, which you can find on traveller map, and other websites.

Well, yes and no. Planetary data, Floriani, etc was later used in published material, which would "canonize" the Third Imp source, IMHO.
Or another example, one HIWGer did the "Tentrassi"?, which was later mentioned in MTJ in the deneb news breifs, would this mention of the "Tentrassi" canonize this race? IMHO yes!
Or again, K. Knight's Traveller Chronicle published Far Frontiers and Yiklerdanzdh info, also from HIWG sources, does this make it canon? (no arguments about any "back door publishing permission from Marc" please.)
Then again, much was published under permission and later Decanonized. Vanguard and Beyond by Paranoia Press, Theta Borealis by Group one, Malik Cresc/Ley etc. from Judges Guild. So what is and is not canon becomes a matter of opinion in some cases, again IMHO. If Mongoose Trojan Reach was totally different from DGP/GDW Trojan Reach that would "decanonize" the latter, as newer material is considered to be canon and supercedes older material.
Now, another point, Marc Miller wrote some material about the Trojan Reach, which I have, but forget which magazine it was published in. The article was entitled "Aboard the Leviathan" or some such.

As part of the T5SS, Marc has semi-canonized the Beyond and Vanguard Reaches material, and I'm actually working on these sectors right now.
The "plan", with Chuck Kallenbach's approval, is to start with the original materials in all their weirdness, tone them down somewhat (but not completely -- we want some of that original feel), apply what of his 1991 rework fits, and then run it through the T5SS project.
So I'm looking for folks who have collected materials related to these two sectors to provide me some guidance and serve as sounding blocks as I prepare data for travellermap (public review).

I'm not sure if it counts as canon, but Mongoose are publishing a free 10-part epic campaing set in the Trojan Reaches, The Pirates of Drinax. The first 9 parts are already up and the final episode is due out soon, if the author can tear himself away from revolutionising horror campaign writing for long enough to finish it.
The campaign folows the PC's exploits as Drinaxian sponsored pirates/privateers. It's a very sandboxy game that involves a lot of exploration, swashbuckling and diplomacy so it ranges far beyond just Drinax itself.

I hope you are feeding him and giving him plenty of water!
I am running this campaign and it is very good. Between it and the other stuff Mongoose is publishing (such as The Borderlands stuff) there is a lot of info for the Trojan Reach.
