Character generation

Okay, I've got the D&D players manual, and I've got the T20 lite and playtest files and I still can't figure out how to fit the darn things together. Would someone who DOES understand how to interface this stuff please email me with the details on how to actually go about creating characters and whatever else I need to extract from the stupid D&D manual?

I HATE WotC and their stoopid secret handshake method of T20 game systems.
