Character Spreadsheet V3.0

New (Improved?) version posted. I also improved the web-page (it now looks like a Traveller site).

According to Anglefire, numerous downloads have been made but I've only received a couple of comments. Post them here or e-mail me.

I appologize for the numerous pop-ups that Angelfire is forcing on you as you go there. Part of the price of using a "free" service. I hope to move my entire site to the server at my workplace in the near future. Until then...

I'll take a look at the spreadsheet and see if I can find any bugs. I have been looking for a T20
character creator for a little while now. I hope you don't get any flack about copyrights. This board seems rife with people having this issue.

Hey, I dl'ed your spreadsheet. Pretty nice, unfortunately I was already about 2/3 done with another spreadsheet more suited to my game (merged D20/T20 systems with loads of house rules). When I am done I will forward it to someone (anyone?) who has room and time to post it. I work on this thing in my spare time at work so it's slow going.

Currently it handles T20/D&D core classes, multiclassing with 3 class max and up to 4 prestige classes (tho the attack, save info has to entered manually), calc's attack bonuses, spells available and displays feats gained each level. Skills are there (some minor problems with lookups right now, hope to have that fixed) and there is a listing of feats that I hope to get to post bonuses to skills...

it's really taking a while but if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll send a current copy.

Hello Michael,

I sent an E-mail about a little problem I am having with the spreadsheet. I think that I have really messed up the die roll button. I re-downloaded the spreadsheet and now I get an error message when clicking on the button that path to the renamed spreadsheet cannot be found and the button doesn't work at all.

Sorry about that, however I think you have done a great job with the sheet. Thanks for the work.

I e-mailed you a step-by-step way to correct it, if I guessed correctly what the problem was.

BTW, in this case it seems Excel didn't assign the die rolling macro to the icon and got confused. Has anyone else had this problem?

Evening MichaelL65,

Thank-you for the promote response to both this post and my E-mail. I'll be running the fix soon and I will get back to you with the results.

Evening MichaelL65,

Yep, the recommended steps fixed the problem and I now get numbers associated with the roll button. Thanks for the fix.

Michael,

If this is all you'd like to put up there, I'd be happy to offer you a url on my local webserver. Email me at steve@strategy-gaming.com.

I don't do this for most, but this game is in such desperate need of e-tools, I'm happy to in this case.

Thanks for the offer, but we have plenty of web-space for me to port my whole web-site to my company server - as soon as I get a chance to set up my account. I'm one of the network administrators (small company, nobody really has the job as part of their job description), and I just haven't gotten the time to do it (which is a good thing, it means I'm busy making the company money :D ).
