Comic/Graphic Novel(s)

As much I am attracted to the printed word, was there any discussion about creating a Traveller comic or at better yet a graphic novel?

For in Canada, many games are sold in comic stores, it would be great way to kill to audiences who could shift between the two.

I read and enjoyed some of GDW's late novellas for Dark Conspiracy and Traveller:New Era. A graphic novel would be great but I suspect that the traveller franchise would have to be in a more lively state than it is currently before anyone would invest the man-years it takes to do a decent graphic novel.

I don't know, start off small, with advertizing in the main rule book. I think it would sell better than mugs and even look at the success at T-shirts. Secret would be to try to find out what prompts comic/graphic novel enthuasists to buy a SF based comic.

Wellll....

Slick ass 3d CG! :p I saw a Traveller comic somewhere someone was working on, have to hunt down link..

It looked slick. Anyway, I would buy a Graphic Novel/Comic book! *dreams of the Traveller comic book*

That could well be me, I don’t know about slick but there’s some early attempts on my website (see my sig). :)
Myself and a couple of other CotI guys (the excellent Baron Saarthuran & Far Trader) have done a lot of good work on an epic length Traveller webcomic which I think could have great promise but has stalled a bit at the moment (as these things invariably do).
I would love to start it up again so if anybody wants to get involved and help reboot the project and build on the work so far done, there is a development forum you can join here:

Yes, I said slick!

Well thanks Beech, it is in fact your work, and you saved me hunting it down which I was about to.

OTOH, I am now in yet another forum....well, there went all my free time.:frankie::p

Don't forget the old Travellers strip that used to grace the pages of White Dwarf. You can see the entire print run on the net somewhere--I know I've seen it before but don't have a link handy.

*feels dated and proud at once*

I do...

Absolutely marvelous stuff it is too.
(Mark Harrison then went on to be quite a well known 2000ad artist.)

And Magnus welcome aboard, your input will be very welcome :)
And did I mention Humbled. Wow! Thank you and I shall endeavor not to disappoint.

And thanks, I only caught a couple issues and loved it! This is so awesome!

A Traveller comic/graphic novel would be cool. I would think an online version comic with a collected graphic novel would be a good idea.

One of the ongoing jokes among my group is that with the hits my website gets from Korea either a Bette Noire comic or animation will pop up someday.
