Do you need to have noble status to make a decent carreer navy officer and if so what would be a good soc score I mean it seems unlikely to have 12 in both dex and int and the minimum for soc status for being a noble by soc status any thoughts ?
You don't NEED to, but in my opinion, if they are going career and trying to shoot for captain or admiral, it makes for a good background. The navy character in my upcoming campaign has a high SOC, and we are working up his noble family background now.
But it's not necessary at all.
