Drive options for traveler CT

Hi,

Years ago the 80’s or 90’s I can across an article about Drive options for traveler. (Non Cannon)

Some options were low maintenance, damage resistant etc.

I thought it was in a copy of Dragon or White Dwarf

But in scouring the net I can not find any reference to the article.

Does anyone else recall this and if so can you point me in the right direction
