I think what I'm going to do is tild a little towards realism if this comes up in the game Thursday.
I'll say something like this: "If you go EVA, nothing will probably happen to your character, but if something does, it will most likely be fatal." And, I'll give 'em a roll (once per space combat round) of throwing 5 on 5D.
Sure, it probably won't happen. But, if it does, it will more than likely be "scratch one character" time.
My thought is that I'll use the roll as a tactic to "scare" the players a bit--something that will absolutely be going through their character's heads when they go out into space...something probably won't happen, but do I want to take that chance?
