With your authorization, I would like to use your mapping tools.
I stille have to understand and implement them ... for the moment my maps are "hand-made"; which looks cool but it will be tedious doing maps for whole sectors ...

I'll be glad to help in any way I can.

I'll be happy to output some pages, if you'd like to send me the sector files... or if you've got a Mac or Unix machine, I'll help you to install the software locally (it's very easy).

In addition, you can re-use and edit pdf's using Illustrator, so you could take what I generate and integrate it into your existing books.

A question - what page layout software are you using to publish the books themselves? Indesign? Quark? Thanks!

For the moment, I'm using OpenOffice, and I don't think I'll invest into another software (except a free one, but I've tried Scribus and don't like it very much).

Ah ok. Then you're best off handling the maps as separate images to attach in OpenOffice.

The fast track - You can use the existing 'Spinward Marches' pdf I created, and import the maps into OpenOffice as images.

In general I like. The one for Machines though I think is somewhat out of place. Perhaps a picture of a happy fun ball type mercenary cruiser might be a bit more Travellery while maintaining the spherical theme. Anyway good luck.

That's a brilliant idea, and so simple... thank you !!

Is it just me, or does anyone else get the feeling that Traveller is undergoing some sort of fan-based renaissance? There are some very exciting things happening here ...

You know your audience better than we do...but I would include a few Starships in the cover.

Contacts need people, as the rendering is too abstract. Something even like the BITS cover for 101 Star Crews (which IMHO is a very good cover).

Machines, I would include robots and people interacting. Or at the very least, a space city or something to convey the Far Future.

Worlds, apply a different tint, if the world is Earth but better yet design a separate world that might look like Earth but be not Earth.
