It's amazing how acquiring Traveller products has gone full circle for me. Way back in the early 80's it was impossible to find Traveller products locally. I acquired mine through mailorder catalogs or thru some of the Air Force personnel who got me hooked on Traveller.
In the late 80's & through most of the 90's we got game stores who stocked a lot of Traveller stuff (& Space Opera). In the last decade it has gone full circle, with only one gamestore locally carrying Traveller books, a few of the first FFE reprints & a little of the Mongoose titles. The local big box bookstores carried Mongoose very briefly, but not only carry them online. And don't even think about 15mm minis, let alone SF (almost exclusively Warhammer) mins. I now find myself (when I can afford it) looking online for Traveller.
The irony is very amusing.
