Maybe this topic need not be limited to Traveller but what are the some of the great Convention games that you have taken part in. The essence is to distill ideas for running a Traveller Con game, something that will welcome newbies and vets very quickly and allow them to immerse themselves into the game.

I used to run My second imperium universe......A very good module is "Disapperance on Aramat" printed long ago by grenadier models Inc. back in 1984......

I think the key first and formost to any convention game has to be it must be something that can be done /completed/played out in a fairly limited period of time - an afternoon, maybe a long sesssion or no more than a couple of evenings.

I've run Murder on Arturus Station to great success for just that reason, its a good solid trav adventure, lends itslef to being something that can be done in a set time period, and with pregenned characters focuses on role play and deduction rather than combat. That new one hour one MJD did would be ideal for the same reason.

A con game is a good for a combat adventure, where campiagn play is less an issue and just good old fashioned shoot em up. While a steady diet will pall, they have fans and its fun to so a snatch and grab or a rescue.
