Greetings from the Great White North, eh

Hello all,
I am a newcomer to this forum coming to you from the Great White North (Canada). Been reading the posts for the last little while and decided to introduce myself.

Been gaming since 1981, Traveller since 1985. My favorite era being the MT era played without the Rebellion in the forefront which I guess leans me towards Hard Times.

Are there any other Canadian gamers, in the GTA? As I am hoping to get back into active gaming.

I am not in TO anymore abut I am nearby in London. I know of a few others here but we don't get together as they are mainly new era players and I'm not.

Damn, just came back from living 4 months in London while I did a course at the UWO...

Don't mind TNE, too much so long as it not the dreaded Star Vikings Campaign. When I was a ref., I nixed them with the Empire of Solee.

Hi kafka47 & Darium! I'm also new here - stumbled across the forums when I discovered the CT book compilations a week ago. It surprised me that so many remember Traveller and still play it! I started playing in high school back in '81, and while I sold most of my LBBs around '87

I now have the chance to get them all in their nifty, new, collected versions.

Sorry, I'm not in the Great White North, more like the Hot Humid South.

Welcome to the list. It has been hot and humid here too. Don't forget to keep your eyes open for GURPS Traveller, there are some who actually believe the Jacksonian heresy be cannon. Don't you believe them son, lobby for the True Traveller (Traveller 5) to hit the shelves.

I live in TO itself, (Danforth and Greenwood area)

I would be interested in Traveller (running or playing, pref GM)

I had a Traveller campaign that lasted a year and a half that ended because of GM burnout (I had 11 (!) players and more were lined up!). I just couldn't say no.

As you can see my basic pref is MT, second is CT+ (mostly CT bit of T4), third is TNE

I will be unavailable until October as I am gone to the UK for 2 weeks soon

A lot are involved in (shudder) Vampire.

I can scrape up about 4 players or so

More than enough to get going.

My last campaign was beginning to roll when my hard drive died, taking my entire sector worth of notes with it.

Sounds like you have no shortage of players. I am currently unsure of my work schedule. But, sounds like we can vote you a role as referee, as you have the players.
