Now, as you so kindly worked out the 8-metres volume to 22.6m3,

Volume per metre = 22.6 litres divided by 8 = 2.85m3 per metre.
Just because I can not resist being totally picky about this. 1000 liters (volume) is 1 m3. So the volume of the rope is 2.85 liters per meter, not cubic meters. That makes less dense than hydrogen.
