Hi all, I just stumbled onto this site, registered, and figured I'd introduce myself.

My name is Mike, and I'm a recovering, lapsed Traveller. I was introduced to the original, "black box" version of the game by a friend's father back in 1980. That was our game of choice for about three or four years, after which we'd play occasionally, and those occasions became less and less frequent...until we didn't play at all.

Jumping ahead more years than I really like thinking about brings us to this past Saturday. A friend in my current gaming group pulled out the new Traveller's Handbook and we made up characters. And now I think I'm hooked again.

The only problem is... We only have one book, and the distributors I use for my store have no copies in stock

Anywho.

I'm back in the fold, and I just wanted to say hey, so, "Hey!"

I there. Welcome to the fold. We're a pretty friendly bunch so feel free to post anywhere on any topics that interest you. But be warned, the political posts seem to be hotly debated.

The rulebook I believe is being reprinted very soon and should be available again within a short time, but if you really look around a few places still have them.

As Ben has stated, political thought here is open to debate (but might I add, civilly!). Flaming is strongly discouraged (see flat footed ducks for small fires/ see large, flat-footed elephants for burning ducks!).

I spoke with one of the nice people at QLI today, and they are indeed going back to press on a 2nd printing of the T20 book (it'll be at the printers any day now - if it's not there already). So, brand spankin' fresh copies of the book should be hitting store shelves in the not too distant future. Which makes me happy!

And, hey, thanks for the greetings and salutations. I'm starting to feel at home already.
