HG3 possible?

The new CT Pirates book has me wondering, could we see Don McKinney's HG3 work completed and published as an official CT update?

What are the differences of that version?

Huh, maybe I need to get my version posted since this sort of thing is now possible.

Does not include any chargen. It is a clarification (eg, some crew rules) and expansion of the HG shipbuilding, incorporating TCS and some MegaTraveller (TL extended to 21, added weapon systems to the USP, and had options for both HG-like table-based combat and a new formula-based combat).

I think publishing an expanded starship design system for Classic Traveller is a fantastic idea. I’d really like something in between High Guard, MegaTraveller, and Mongoose 2e.

I'm sure it’s been done to death, but what more would you want out of a B5 system?
more different options for Hulls, Armor, Weapons, and Systems. Simpler movement and combat options. Faster resolution and task management.

On my drive I have a file labelled LBB:X Warships.

It started as a military systems supplement for LBB:2 - adapting stuff from every other version of Traveller to LBB:2.

Then I added a section for the alternative technologies from FF&S, MgT, GURPS and others

A section for sensors and electronic warfare

I added a section on a ship combat as part of a role playing session (what rolls should characters make during a role playing session ship combat), a section of variations on movement systems (Starter Range band, vector movement done using a template adapted from BL and AV:T

Fleet combat rules for converting ships to the counter stats you find in the boardgames I:E, I, FFW which allows me to have a system invasion scale game, which can be scaled down to squadron vs squadron or even ship vs ship.

I have another document labelled HG:3

collected house rules that I think fix ship construction

a modification to the USP

a logarithmic based battery factor so you only have one factor for each weapon system

crew quality and PC skills

maneuver options and full on maneuver rules similar to the LBB:X (it is virtually the same)

new damage resolution and damage tables - lessons learned from BR.

Ooooooh want- for stealing of course!

Weirdly, a Updated version of Trillion Credit Squadron has been in the back of my head for a whiles now.

Logistics, and fleet support is where the idea starts, though Pocket Empires gets dragged out also...
