I once wrote a fan-fic story of how a trader docking at Joyeuse to pick up a cargo of beef finds that his broker is dead and the estate is to tied up in court for him to manage to get a hold of the cargo. So he sells off his contract cheaply and then learns that the life support on Byrn Evgrunn Base(however that's spelled) is unfinished(for whatever reason). And that supplies are not due for several weeks. So he collects several water bottles and sets out, in the hope that he can sell water to workers(the management, of course might quibble as they do not wish to offend their suppliers-and I may make something of that in a further episode).
The point of all this is that some items, like water and air will be cheap in some places but expensive in hostile environments and something might be made of the difference.
