How do you pronounce...?

Gauss rhymes with "gout"
Regina ryhmes with, well,....oh, you know what I mean.

My take on "Kinunir":

Kin- as in "kith and kin"
-un- as in the beginning of the word under
-ir- rhymes with deer/beer/leer or possibly even "er" as in "binder" or the UK's "her" when we drop the haitch - more of an "urr" sound, as in "'er indoors" (soooo common

actually that's Italian. Latin pronunciation is ray-ginnuh (stress on 1st vowel, g as in gun). Authorities on Latin pronunciation e.g. Vox Latina by Sidney Allen. oops, I seem to be a geek on a subject even less cool than sci-fi (blushes).

I avoid using that ship and travelling to that place to avoid pronunciation problems.

As for the weapon, it is pronounced "needler". ;)

</font>[/QUOTE]I've moved to a new apartment and my computer got its motherboard damaged while being shipped there; since it's an old model, getting a replacement part took time; in the meantime I'm logging in from my mother's computer (I'm visiting her this weekend) - and my computer is due to be fixed this Sunday (hopefully). About a day or two after I'll get my computer back I'll have a working internet connection as well in there and then I'll be back to the full extent.
