Hypertech for SCIFI20?

Hi Hunter!

I've always been a fan of T20, and was delighted to pick up the SciFi20 Player's Guide - well done you guys!

I was wondering if there are any plans to produce a supplement or supplements for high-tech gaming with the rules? Obviously the Traveller paradigm tends to top-out about TL16, but much modern scifi, particularly the transhuman stuff I like, goes way beyond that, and it would be cool to see it catered for.

Any thoughts or plans to do that?

Cheers - and congrats again with continuing the system!

Sarah

Thank you and yes!

The Design Manual already has added new tech for maneuver drives and FTL drives. I'm definitely interested in ideas on where to go with other techs.

Awesome - I'll have to pick up a copy of the Design Manual. Do you have any plans to do hard-copies of these books?

Regarding examples of the advanced stuff, I'd love to see rules for massive structures such as orbital habitats, ringworlds, etc, extremely augmented / modified characters, retrovirus enhancements, advanced AI, etc, etc. There's tons more things I could list, but basically anything you'd find in a typical 21st century scifi story a la Ian Banks, Peter Hamilton, Dan Simmons, etc, etc. The sort of stuff that in standard Traveller is typically "Tech 17+".

Cheers,

Sarah

Once I have all of the basic rules published again I'll make them available via LuLu for Print on Demand.

I need to do some rework on the RPGRealms site, after which I'll have some discussion areas set up where we can go over these kinds of ideas and see where we need to go with them and handle them rules-wise.
