Seeing the small section up front in the middle reminded me of a semi-truck cab,
It so reminds me of some of the old Dietrick art in CT and MT. I love that "realistic" looking stuff.
If Mongoose (or T5 or any Traveller edition) adopted this type of style, I'd be completely behind it.
To me, that is so much more interesting than the comic-booky-super-hero look that MGT is going for.
Looks a lot like the "Armor" class from the first few episodes of Macross/Robotech.

The cockpit looks to me as if it's its own ship docked with the bigger vessel.
The freighter's standard bridge is that glass we see dorsal and aft.
Great design work! Oddly enough this is reminds me of the Gazelle I'm building for the 2010 Traveller Calendar.
Not in overall shape, but in that masculine, chunky look. Inspirational stuff PathfinderAP, thanks for posting![]()
My comment exactly. Still, it is a nice perspective draft of the vessel.
I have to admit that I've never cared much for some of the asthetics of a lot of Traveller ships. But that's just me.
One of my first loves has always been the Atlas of the Imperium cover for it summed up what would be meant by First Survey...and I don't think that ship was ever stat'ed or identified.
It's the Nostromo.
Is it?
I've always loved that ship, too. I thought it looked like the Notromo, but it's not exactly the Nostromo, right?
