Imperial Fleet Numbers and Dispositions?

Hi all :)

I've searched, but can't find a definitive listing although I may not have used the right search terms, of course); I'm looking for a list of Imperial Naval fleet numbers, and where they're based; this for an up-coming land grab I'm working on. Any pointers, please?

Cheers in advance,

I'm not a canonista, but I know enough to know they are going to ask you which era/reality you are setting in.

MT:Rebellion Sourcebook has a map of the Imperium where all the fleet numbers are shown, each in its subsector (page 26).

I will ask on that note.... how many fleets where in the marches prior tot he start of the FFW?

The map in page 12 CT:SMC showing start positions (1107) shows 7 numbered fleets.

FFW initial OB gives 4 fletes to imperials (2 of the fleets shown in SMC are rimward FFW gaming area, outside from it).

It's to asume that some non-numbered fletes exist too (some planetary fleets, most notably those of HiPop and HiTech worlds (Trim ,Mora, Glisten, all of them outside FFW playing área) can be quite powerful too...

Good point; however, given that Rampart, and most of the rest of the Imperium, are on the trailing side of the 'Claw', the majority of the IN wouldn't have been affected that much; for all the chaos, mayhem, and utter carnage the FFW caused in places, it was, by and large, a war fought by the Domain of Deneb ("behind the claw"), rather than the Imperium as a whole; consequently, while replacement ships, personnel, and matériel were sent there on the hurry-up both during and, for a while after the war, the rest of the fleet would only have likely got as far as detaching a few ships here and there to travel via Vland sector and the coreward passage of Deneb; this reorg would likely have been halted when word got back that the war was over. That's my take on it; I'd appreciate comments, of course :)

unlikely. after every war major reevaluations go on. which ships worked vs which ones didn't, which ships got used vs which ships didn't, which ships survived vs which ones didn't. keep bases vs realign bases vs abandon bases. entire careers based on evaluating this and repositioning that. admirals and captains trying to get close to the "action" vs admirals and captains looking for "safe zones". preparations for planned counter-offensives, real or decoys. during the u.s. war between the states, naval observers were present at the monitor/merrimack engagement. on seeing that the observers sent word home to their governments and the governments sent out the word, "stop all construction on wooden warships".

not to mention wars happen for a reason, and if a war happens then there's a good chance of another similar one following right after it's over. none of this, "oh, the war's done, everybody go home now." recall the huge buildup in Europe after the war of 1870. recall the french maginot line built after wwi. recall the cold war.

Arn't the offical location pre-Rebellion in the Rebellion Source book and/or Ships of the Shattered Imperium? Remember that Corridor goes to help Lucan as does Gateway but the rest stick with their given regional leader who opt not to support Lucan Contra the Assassin.
