I'm looking for the result of the High Guard smoke tests done a long while ago by some members of our community. I've tried searching both this forum and Google but with no luck so far - I've found related discussions, but not the results themselves. Any help would be welcome.

Check the links in your sig. The stuff your friend was hosting for me went dead, so I removed that stuff from my sig. It looks like some of your stuff is dead as well.

Are you talking about the fighter vs. warship tests done at the ct_starships Yahoo group?
They were performed wayyyy back in the first few months of 2001 and finding all the exact messages might be difficult. I could nose around for them if you'd like, but they're rather easy to duplicate.

No, but...
...when I design warships, I often rate their resistance to combat damage from likely opponents. I rate how many missiles it takes to produce, on average, one hit against the ship, and then how many additional missiles over that it takes to produce another.
It occurs to me that a small Java program could handle this, and other combat-related tasks, very effectively. If and when I have time, I'll write one up.
