Interior Scout Ship Sketches

Here are a couple of interior sketches for the scout ship that really helps give the 'feel' of the ship I think. These are the handiwork of Bryan Gibson!

Nice. It shows the ship as being a practical, functional ship, not a luxury liner with carpets etc.

All thats needed now is a text description/background of the ship to add a final bit of flavour.

Obviously, Bryan needs to consider legal action against Paramount... they stole his designs and used them in 'Enterprise'!

(I've known Bryan since the early '80's and he'll recognize my twisted sense of humor. Right? Hey! Put that gun down!)

Very nice sketches, but the ship's galley sketch seems to have been mirror-imaged from the deckplans shown in another thread. The table has the seat wrapping around it the wrong way, and the heavy equipment in on the wrong wall. Other than these quibbles, very nice.

Very nice! I've always liked Bryan's artwork. I hope his art is used alot in T20 (and T5!). As said above, Paramount guys must have seen Starship Operator's Manual (among other things) and ripped off Bryan's art - don't those control panels look familiar...

I must concurr, the art is nice. I do like the look on the Scout's face in the "Main Corridor" one, makes me wonder why she has kind of a sour look on her face (Just got up and going to her duty station perhaps...or if you don't mind potty humor, maybe that's the fresher she's going into, and just noticed the condition her fellow crewmember left it in...if I remember right, Scout ships were not noted for having the best ventilation systems anyway...)

The galley is nice...although I'm going to say one comment that I hope won't get me flamed. I know this is a sketch, not the final product, but the closer of the two panels on the left sure does look a bit like a big ATM machine...okay, so anything with a screen and touchpad would in a sketch like that.

Anyway, it's nice work, makes me wonder how the final drafts will come out, and I'd love to see how he'd do the inside of let's say a Vargr or Aslan ship.

Looks like the corridor picture is also mirror-flipped from the floorplans. Which means she is lounging in her cabin door drinking her morning coffee.

Pity. the potty joke was fun.
